Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth
and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.
Matthew 24:32
"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs
get tender and its leaves come out, you know
that summer is near."
Ezekiel 17:23
On the mountain heights of Israel I will plant it; it will produce branches and bear fruit
and become a splendid
cedar. Birds of every kind will nest in it; they will find shelter in the shade of its
branches.
Deuteronomy 20:19
When you lay siege to a
city for a long time,
fighting against it to
capture it, do not destroy its trees by putting an ax to them, because you can eat their
fruit. Do not cut
them down. Are the trees of the field people, that you should besiege them?
